Of Dire Straits

Beware of The Angel
With the Six Blade Knife

"Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel."

Have you ever sung a song that was written against you?  If you have belted one out while listening to the radio, chances are you have and you didn’t even know it.  Much of what you hear coming out of the music industry is against you.  Yet you tap your feet, drum against the table and lose yourself in its beat.

An amazing thing happened to me this morning.  An image search for another blog topic lead me to an old blog from two years ago.  It was the one about “Dirty Diana” and the lyrics of that song.  I found the photo I wanted (not on that blog but on Google) but out of curiosity I scanned down through the comments of that old topic.  One of the comments suggested looking at a song and the artist/Band who released the song was “Dire Straits”.

With regard to the last two articles that appeared on “MichaelsGuardian” (Between the Straits), I thought the song she suggested was relevant those topics recently discussed.  I included it on the bottom of the list of songs by this group and credited her there.  This prompted me to look at some of the other songs by this same Band.  What I found I’ve included below:

“Your six blade knife can do anything for you
Anything you want it to
One blade for breaking my heart
One blade for tearing me apart
Your six blade knife-do anything for you

You can take away my mind like you take away the top of a tin
When you come up from behind and lay it down cold on my skin
Took a stone from my soul when I was lame
Just so you could make me tame
You take away my mind like you take away the top of a tin"
Partial Lyrics "Six Blade Knife"
Dire Straits

Does this “six blade knife” go “seven inches in”?  They reference a “stone from my soul”.  We will cover that in another blog.

"They say it's mostly vanity
That writes the plays we act
They tell me that's what everybody knows
There's no such thing as sanity
And that's the sanest fact
That's the way the story goes

Can't get no remedy on my TV
There's nothing but the same old news
They can't find a way to be
One world in harmony
Can't get no antidote for blues" -
Partial Lyrics, "One World"
Dire Straits

Vanity – believing you can do anything on your own, through your own power, without God.

"Well there's a Peter Pan moon shepherd's delight
I got to dragon at noon, yes and I won the fight
Now I want my reward in heaven tonight, just like you promised
Angel of Mercy, you'll come to no harm
Angel of Mercy, there's no need for alarm
The knight in his armor wants a night in your arms
You know he's honest

Angel of Mercy, angel delight, give me my reward in heaven tonight
And if I give up my sword, won't you give me the right
Sweet angel" -
Partial Lyrics, Angel of Mercy
Dire Straits

A Peter Pan Moon - NeverLand

Another Peter Pan Moon
Neverland near train station

The one on the left is from Neverland
The one on the right is from “Dreamworks”
As in “Stephen Spielberg, David Geffen & Jeffery Katzenberg”
Thieves, Confirmed

Peter Pan Moon, dragon at noon and an angel of Mercy.  Got that?  Next one:

“You walk out on the high wire
You're a dancer on thin ice
You pay no heed to the danger
And less to advice
Your footsteps are forbidden
But with a knowledge of your sin
You throw your love to all the strangers
And caution to the wind

And you go dancing through doorways
Just to see what you will find
Leaving nothing to interfere
With the crazy balance of your mind
And when you finally reappear
At the place where you came in
You've thrown your love to all the strangers
And caution to the wind

It takes love over gold
And mind over matter
To do what you do that you must
When the things that you hold
Can fall and be shattered
Or run through your fingers like dust
Partial Lyrics, "Love Over Gold"
Dire Straits

A dancer on thin ice who throws all his love to the strangers, a “crazy balance” of the mind, when he finally reappears?   At the place where he came in.  It does take love over gold to do what he did and you ain’t seen nothing yet…

"All the late night bargains have been struck
Between the satin beaus and their belles
And prehistoric garbage trucks
Have the city to themselves
Echoes roars dinosaurs
They're all doing the monster mash
And most of the taxis and the whores
Are only taking calls for cash

I don't know how it happened
It all took place so quick
But all I can do is hand it to you
And your latest trick

My door was standing open
Security was laid back and lax
But it was only my heart got broken
You must have had a pass key made out of wax
You played robbery with insolence
And I played the blues in twelve bars down Lover's Lane
And you never did have the intelligence to use
The twelve keys hanging off my chain" -
Partial Lyrics, "Your Latest Trick"
Dire Straits

Late night bargains, the monster mash, the door was open, the heart got broken and the twelve keys.  Interesting.

"I'm just and ageing drummer boy
And in the wars I used to play
And I've called the tune
To many a torture session
Now they say I am a war criminal
And I'm fading away
Father please hear my confession

I have legalised robbery
Called it a belief
I have run with the money
And hid like a theif
I have re-written history
With my armies and my crooks
Invented memories
I did burn all the books
And I can still hear his laughter
And I can still hear his song
The man's too big
The man's too strong

Well I have tried to be meek
And I have tried to be mild
But I spat like a woman
And sulked like a child
I have lived behind walls
That have made me alone
Striven for peace
Which I have never known
And I can still hear his laughter
And I can still hear his song
The man's too big
The man's too strong" -
Partial Lyrics, "The Man's Too Strong"
Dire Straits

Spoken like a true MK Ultra handler in repentence, with knowledge of the conspiracy and a game that's over, because "the man's too strong".

"Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
I've witnessed your suffering
As the battle raged high
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms

There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones" -
Partial lyrics, "Brothers in Arms"
Dire Straits

"But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;   33. Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

"There's gotta be a record of you some place
You gotta be on somebody's books
The lowdown - a picture of your face
Your injured looks

The sacred and profane
The pleasure and the pain
Somewhere your fingerprints remain concrete
And it's your face I'm looking for on every street" -
Partial Lyrics, "On Every Street"
Dire Straits

What if he IS the book?  Try checking the "street called Straight”.

"It's a mystery to me - the game commences
For the usual fee - plus expenses
Confidential information - it's not a public inquiry

I go checking out the reports - digging up the dirt
You get to meet all sorts in this line of work
Treachery and treason - there's always an excuse for it
And when I find the reason I still can't get used to it

And what have you got at the end of the day?
What have you got to take away?
A bottle of whisky and a new set of lies
Blinds on the windows and a pain behind the eyes

Scarred for life - nocompensation
Private investigations -
Partial Lyrics to "Private Investigations"
Dire Straits

For the last a Thankyou to Susanne – Posted on March 25, 2012 at 12:24 A.M.

I see scripture in these lyrics; I see parables in the stanzas.  I see a message of warning and another of frustration.  But mostly, I see Michael the soul.

Are they about him?  Were they privy to his mission?
I cannot tell you, but one thing is for sure;
Dire Straits may be a band, but it is also a condition.

Look at the song lyrics and given what you now know, I would scour through every Jackson 5, The Jacksons and Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and other solo songs – then work out from there.

Many of your artists, if they charted more than once; DID know, even if only for the few minutes they penned their lyrics or recorded them in the studio “under the influence”, before it was taken out of their minds by their handlers.

Music is a fantastic memory programmer.  You can do anything from teaching a child their “A,B,C’s” to restructuring a mind.

If you are reading the Bible and praying for understanding, meditating on what you read with openness to receive, the same thing will happen, but with truth.  Art hides truth in it’s likes much like the “crooked serpent” hides the truth in our DNA.  God’s Word takes those lies out of the way and “makes straight what was crooked”.

The truth, if it is important to you, is in that Book.  Many of the artists who’s works you’ve purchased know it and knew it.  Don’t just buy their music – Support their release from bondage.  Pray for them!  The abuse and destruction of souls must stop!

"And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row."

How do you take up the tares without destroying the wheat?
